NYCHA Playgrounds

This situation regarding playgrounds at public housing once again shows not just bureaucratic incompetence, but also willful ignorance over its basic infrastructure, all of which comes at the expense of our children. When NYCHA doesn’t inspect playgrounds in The Bronx and across the city, it sends a message to our kids that they aren’t valued by their own government. The fact that 70% of playgrounds are in ‘unsatisfactory condition’ represents yet another broken promise by an agency devoid of credibility. I call on incoming chair Gregory Russ to make this an urgent priority.
